Elmo Ness

Elmo V. Ness
Age 90 of Fridley, passed away February 14, 2014. Born in Clarissa, Minnesota on November 30, 1923. Preceded in death by parents, Julia and George Ness, sisters Ina Ness, Ella Titrud, Hattie Thor and brothers Emmett Ness and Glenn Ness. Survived by loving wife, Bernice, and nieces and nephews.
Served in the United States Army for 15 months with service in Japan from December 1946 – January 1948.
Received a B.A. degree from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management and was a life-long employee of Jacobson Machine Works in Golden Valley where he served as an accountant, comptroller and later as Vice-President.
Was an avid reader and was especially knowledgeable on history and politics. Also enjoyed sports, music and traveling.
A celebration of his life will be held at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1900 7th Street Northwest, New Brighton, on Friday, February 21 (10 am visitation, 11 am funeral).
