Marvin Hannah

Hannah, Marvin Dean, age 77, of Spring Lake Park, passed away November 16.
Marvin was born on January 3, 1937 in Grand Rapids, MN. He graduated from Yreka High School in Yreka, CA. He continued his education and received a Bachelor's degree at Metropolitan State University. He served 4 years in the Air Force and worked at International Harvester/ Case/IH for 41 years. He started as a clerk and made his way to manager, retiring in 2000. He was an active member in the community with Coon Rapids Meals on Wheels, where he delivered meals and served on the board. He also was an Anoka County health insurance counselor and a 2-term RSVP board member. He supported Swimming & Marching Band Parent Booster Clubs from Spring Lake Park while his children attended school. He loved to dance, fish, and lots of travel, and first and foremost, he loved spending time with his family.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 54 years, Mary; children, Mark (Diane) of Burnsville, Scott (Denise) Columbia Heights, Melissa Krause (Eric) Big Lake; the "icing-on-the-cake" grandchildren, Mason & Lauren Krause; sister in law, Willma Hannah; Aunt, Margaret McKee; and other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert R. Hannah and M. Jane Hannah; and his brother, Delbert R. Hannah Jr.
Memorial service at Miller Funeral Home, 6210 Hwy 65 NE, Sunday Nov. 23 at 2 PM with a visitation 1 hour prior. Burial at Fort Snelling at a later date.
Memorials preferred to American Cancer Society or donor's choice.
