Russell Welton

Age 84 of Spring Lake Park. Passed away peacefully on July 1 surrounded by his loving family. Longtime employee of Minnegasco where he retired after many years of service. Russ was a WWII US Navy veteran. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting & fishing. Preceded in death by loving wife Lorrie in 1994, after 47 years of marriage. Russ was a loving father, grandfather & great grandfather and is survived by his dog & best friend Slim; children Rusty, Patti, Kenneth, Tammy, Lynn, Kim (Mike) Kari (Mike); grandchildren Sue, Alika, Nikkie, Eric, Amber, Katie, Kelly, Kayla, Gina & Justin; 12 great grandchildren; brother & sisters; special friend Char. Memorial service 4pm Thursday in the Miller Funeral Home, 6210 Hwy 65 NE, Fridley. Visitation from 2 pm until the hour of service. Private interment Epiphany Cemetery, Coon Rapids.
