Adelia Ann Maine

Adelia Ann Maine, 85, Fridley, MN, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026.  She was born December 23, 1940 in Pillager, MN to Floyd and Bertha (Crocker) Cole.

Adelia grew up in Pillager, MN.  Her family settled in Minneapolis when she was about 10 years old.  She graduated from Vocational High School in Minneapolis in 1958 and married her sweetheart, Boyd, on February 14, 1959.

Boyd and Adelia had two children, Wanda and Laurie, and made their home in Minneapolis, MN.  Adelia worked at Sears & Roebuck until she became a grandmother in 1981 when she stopped working to care for her grandchildren.  Family was always of the utmost importance to Adelia, so she was happy to do so.  She loved getting the chance to be so involved in the children’s lives.

Adelia loved to travel with Boyd, visiting family and friends in northern Minnesota.  They loved to go camping with their children, grandchildren, and friends.  Adelia and her family attended many concerts of southern gospel artists locally and in other states.  Her favorite artist was the Gaither Vocal Band.  Being a strong woman of faith, she attended Emmanuel Christian Center for over 30 years and worked there as well.

She is loved and will be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Bertha Cole; sister, Evelyn Johnson; husband, Boyd Maine; and daughter, Wanda Stromstad.

Grateful to have shared in her life are her daughter, Laurie (David) Lathe; son-in-law, Ben Stromstad; grandchildren, Christina (Victor) Celadita, Elizabeth Lathe, Jennifer Lathe, Ryan (Emily) Stromstad, Cole Stromstad, and Jacob (Liz) Stromstad; great-grandchildren, Amelia, Victor, Brooklyn, Peyton, Paige, August, Jacob Jr., Dakota; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be at 12 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Miller Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Morningside Memorial Gardens.
