Anthony "Tony" Louis Iaquinto passed away May 31, 2023 after a long battle with aphasia along with Lewy Body dementia. He was beloved by family and friends and kept his fighting spirit all the way to the end.
His tenacity in life is something to be admired and his life accomplishments were impressive. He earned his Ph.D. in Business Management from Columbia University, became a college professor and taught at several universities around the world, resided in Japan for about 20 years, opened up several restaurants there, wrote a book, published numerous papers, and the list continues.
Tony is survived by his daughters Liz Veaderko, Sampaguita Iaquinto, his son Louis Iaquinto, his brother Ric Iaquinto, and his sisters Gina Yamaguchi, Niecy Olson, Joni Iaquinto and Samantha Doherty. Tony's impact on others can be felt across the globe and he will be remembered as a proud father, loving brother, and more to so many people.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 13th 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior at Miller Funeral Home, 6210 HWY 65NE, Fridley, followed by a luncheon. Burial service following lunch at Sunset Cemetery in Minneapolis.
If you are overseas or unable to attend, the service will also be livestreamed. In lieu of flowers, the family requests charitable contributions in memory of Tony Iaquinto be made to Brain Support Network (https://www.brainsupportnetwork.org/donate/) Even after death, Tony will be contributing to the academic world as researchers study his brain and the effects of dementia. All this was only possible through the help of Brain Support Network.
