Bernice Walczak

Bernice Walczak (Peterson), age 79, was born September 24th, 1942. Bernice passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 11th, 2022. The Lord allowed Dad to call for Mom and she lovingly answered. They are once again holding hands and smiling down on us all. Preceded in death by loving husband of 59 years, Thomas (Tim) Walczak; father, Leonard Peterson; mother, Bertha Peterson (Schueller); brothers, Leonard and Jeff. Survived by her adoring children, Jerry and John (Roxanne); beloved grandmother of Daniel Walczak; sisters-in-law, Fran Peterson and Linda Peterson; brother-in-law, Mike Walczak; many treasured nieces and nephews. Bernice’s biggest passion after family was spending time with her cherished girlfriends from So. St. Paul and St. Williams Church. Bernice truly was the kindest wife and mother. Bernice’s devotion to her husband, sons, grandson, and faith in the Lord was unmatched. The family wishes to extend its gratitude to those at Applewood Pointe Senior Living in New Brighton who looked out for Mom after Dad’s passing. The family would also like to thank those that joined her at their Parkinson’s support group. A visitation will be at Church of Saint William (6120 5th St NE, Fridley, MN 55432) on Saturday, September 24th at 10:00am, followed by a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am and a luncheon at Noon.
