Betty Nyberg

Nyberg, Betty J., age 84, of Fridley, MN, passed away August 24, 2022. Preceded in death by husband, Carl; parents, Joseph and Carol Boda; and brother, Joe Boda. Survived by daughters, Julie (Paul) Dymit and Amy (Paul) Nentwig; grandchildren, Jill, Jennifer (Nick), Sarah, Rachel, Jacob, Lucas, and Leah; great grandson, Brayden; brother, Richard (Dorothy) Boda, and many other family and friends.

Betty was born and raised in Boyceville, WI. Shortly after graduating high school, Betty attended college briefly before moving to Minneapolis. There, she met Carl, married, and raised two daughters – Julie and Amy. They settled down in Fridley where they resided for almost 60 years. Betty stayed home until the girls graduated high school. Prior to retirement, Betty worked in the grocery and retail industries for many years.

Betty was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and always looked forward to attending the various sporting and performing arts events of her grandchildren. Betty was an avid reader, bird enthusiast, and loved to watch her soaps, game shows, HGTV and dramas. She enjoyed counted cross stitch and was revered for making Christmas stockings for the entire family, including the pets. She was also a fan of anything owls and cardinals and collected many items over the years.

Funeral service at 11AM with visitation beginning at 10AM on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at Miller Funeral Home. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to American Cancer Society, or donor’s choice.
