Charles Powell

Charles William Powell, of Mounds View, MN, was born May 12, 1944 to Rex Wilford and Theresa Lucinda Powell in Saginaw, MI and died on December 1, 2021. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Tech Scientific Studies at Western Michigan University and worked as a manufacturing plant manager. Charlie married Barbara on May 27, 1994. Together they enjoyed visiting state parks and going to the lake. He was a member of Salem Covenant Church, New Brighton, MN.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Rex and Theresa Powell; brother Rex Wilford, Jr.; and sister Sandy Schmidt. He is survived by his wife Barbara Powell; sister Ginny Church; son Brian Powell; grandson Alexander Powell; nephews and nieces; step-children Miriam (Andrew) Hill, Ronald (Kim) Wenger, David Wenger, and Melinda (Dale) Brady; step-grandchildren Brittany, Ronald Jr., Tye'Shia, Cheronn, Delania, Grace, Erin, Malachi, Kristen, Kennedy, Kaitlyn, Caleb, David, and Seven; and 7 step-great-grandchildren.

The memorial service will be Monday, December 20, 2021 at 2pm at Salem Covenant Church, 2655 5th St. NW, New Brighton, MN 55112. Memorials may be directed in Charles Powell's name to Salem Covenant Church.
