Age 77 of Spring Lake Park, Minnesota. Passed away on August 2, 2010. Preceded in death by parents, Charles Benjamin & Lillian; brothers, Norman, Kenneth, Richard, Robert and Stanley. Survived by wife, Myrtle; daughters, Debra (Jeff) Bednark; Patricia (Jim) Evangelist, Charlene (Duane) Bendt; sons, Charles Jr. (Tammy) and Michael (Angie); grandchildren, Jackie, Jason and Jenna Bednark, Chad Evangelist and Alisha (Bret) Mattys, Kelly (Matt) Wright and Tim Ziemba, Nikki Traver, Alicia Neumann, CJ and Ryan Thayer, Dylan Thayer and Tanner Cegla; sister, Irene LaPoint; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Charlie was born to Charles Benjamin & Lillian Thayer on January 1, 1933. He met Myrtle Paumen in 1955 and married her on April 11, 1959. He loved country music, garage sales, camping, traveling, breakfast with the guys and working in his shop making things out of wood, and most of all, his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Memorial service Friday 7 PM with visitation two hours prior at Miller Funeral Home, 6210 Hwy. 65 NE, Fridley. 763-571-1300. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
