Charlotte Carolyn Fauteck (nee Zaeske)

Age 87, passed away on August 8, 2023.

Charlotte Carolyn Zaeske was born in Fargo, North Dakota on May 29th, 1936 to August and Inez (Huesby) Zaeske. She attended rural Walburg School in grades 1st - 5th and grades 6th - 12th in Chaffee, North Dakota. She graduated from Moorhead State University in 1957 with a degree in elementary education. She married Donald Fauteck on December 14, 1957. They resided in Georgia and Florida while Donald served in the Army. Charlotte taught 2nd grade in Georgia and 1st grade in Florida. They moved to Fridley, Minnesota in 1960. With the move to Fridley, she continued to teach elementary education for three more years. Many years later she returned to her passion in education, teaching early childhood family education. Charlotte and Donald resided in Fridley, Minnesota for 36 years. Upon Donald's retirement from Ford Motor Company in 1996, they moved to Coon Rapids and then to Brooklyn Park, MN in 2017.

Charlotte was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, godmother and friend to everyone. She spread positivity to all and reminded everyone that "everyday is a good day." Her spirit, joy, laughter, and smile will forever be in our hearts.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald; sister, Ramona; brother, Allen; brothers-in-law, Phillip, Robert Jr, Dwaine; and sisters-in-law: Carol and Darlene.

Charlotte is survived by her son: Kurt (Ann); daughters, Kristin (David), Karin (Matt), Katy (Thomas); grandsons, Tyler, Turner, Bennett, Dawson, Bram; granddaughter, Bridget; sister-in-law, Charlene Zaeske; and many special nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 11:00AM with visitation one hour prior at St. Philips Lutheran Church in Fridley. Luncheon to follow.
