David Olin Fennig

FENNIG, David Olin "Dave", age 80, of Fridley, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2023.  He is preceded in death by parents, Herrmann and Esther Fennig; brother, James Fennig.  Retired 30 year employee of Control Data.  He was an avid golfer and worked as a Golf Ranger for ten years after his retirement.  He was a artisan and created stained glass creations for family and close friends.  His number one priority was always his family and they knew it.  He will be deeply missed by his wife of 56 years, Dawn "Sue" Fennig; daughters, Andria Fennig, Michelle Gooder (Eric Markwardt); grandsons, Alec Gooder, Owen Gooder; sister, Susan Schore; many relatives and good friends.  Celebration of Life 11am Friday, January 5th, 2024 at St. Philips Lutheran Church, 6180 Hwy 65 NE, Fridley, MN 55432 with visitation at church one hour before service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials will be accepted by the family in Dave's memory for donation to the Fridley Fire Department, Fridley Police Department, and St. Philip's Lutheran Church.
