Diane Marie Burgers

Diane Marie Burgers, born Diane Marie Nelson on January 6, 1947, in Minneapolis, was a beloved soul who touched the lives of many. Her generosity, kindness, thoughtfulness, and compassion shone through in all aspects of her life.

Diane will be fondly remembered for her remarkable ability to make people feel welcomed and included from the very first moment they met her. She had a genuine passion for selecting the perfect gift for her loved ones and would spend endless hours ensuring that each present was thoughtful and meaningful. Her collection of greeting cards was a testament to her kindheartedness and rivaled the smallest of gift-shops. Despite her busy schedule, Diane always prioritized the needs of those around her.

In her leisure time, Diane enjoyed shopping, embarking on trips with her husband Bruce (Len), spending quality moments with her granddaughters Maggie and Molly Burgers, as well as cherishing time with close friends and family members. She also dedicated several years to volunteering at the local elementary school and actively participated in various functions at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church.

Diane passed away peacefully on June 8, 2024, in New Brighton after a brave three-year battle with brain cancer. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever be cherished by those who knew her. She is survived by her son Christofer Burgers, daughter-in-law Jennifer Burgers, along with granddaughters Magdalen and Molly Burgers.

Although Diane has departed from this world, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace.
