Dianne Marie Wolf Redman, age 72, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Fridley on January 9, 2026, due to pancreatic cancer.
Dianne was born on February 3, 1953, in Adrian, Minnesota. As a young child, she moved with her family to a farm just outside of Clara City, Minnesota, where she lived most of her early life. She graduated from high school in 1971.
A funeral mass will be held at 11am on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Columbia Heights, MN. Family will greet friends for 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Dianne will be laid to rest at Gethsemane Cemetery in New Hope, MN.
Dianne studied to be a nurse at the College of Saint Benedict, in Saint Joseph, Minnesota, where she met her future husband, David Redman. She graduated in 1975, and started working at Saint Mary’s Hospital, now M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center – West Bank, that summer. She spent nearly 43 years as a registered nurse there, most of that time in the emergency department.
A missed connection at college, Dianne and David ran into each other at the movies in 1978. They married in 1979, and celebrated 46 anniversaries together.
Dianne was a kind and loving mother and grandmother, and her friendship was cherished by many.
A long-time member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Columbia Heights, she participated in a small prayer group almost every week for over 40 years. She volunteered frequently for church and school events and supplied numerous items for fundraising auctions. Dianne learned to sew from her mother and was known for the many beautiful quilts, tote bags, and other crafts she created over the years.
She enjoyed the theater, watching sports with her husband, and looked forward to annual trips to the state fair. She loved being in a crowd just to see how different people are, and to share the crowd’s reaction to what’s going on. She enjoyed traveling all over our country and abroad.
Dianne is survived by her husband, David; children, Michael Redman and Catherine (Eric) Booth, grandchildren, Annelise and Emmett Booth; mother, Joan Wolf; siblings, Linda Wolf (Bruce Hebeler), Theresa (Greg) Wolf-Lee, Gary Wolf (Pam Jewett), Glen (Joye) Wolf, Joyce (Curt) Hayunga, and Ron (Vicki) Wolf; sister-in-law, Lanette Wolf; and in-laws, Dennis (Meg Cochrane) Redman, Dana Watson, Dixie Hendershot, Darryl (Melanie) Redman, and Dee Ann Redman.
