Mittelstadt, Donald R.
age 83, of Fridley, passed away Nov. 29, 2010 surrounded by his children. Preceded in death by parents, Arley and Helen; and sister, Arlene Helgeson. Don was a Korean War Vet, earned a BEE degree in 1959 from U of M, ASQC Fellow, employed at Honeywell, Univac and Control Data, 20+ year instructor at many local technical colleges, and an active volunteer. Don was busier in retirement working at Orchestra Hall, the MN State Fair, umpiring for Mena�(TM)s slo-pitch softball. Loved the Vikes, Gophers (esp womena�(TM)s BB) and Twins. Survived by wife, Jordis; son, John (Sylvia); daughters, Dayle (Bob) Rebelein and Dana (Peter) Tountas; grandchildren, Todd (Steffanie), Elizabeth, Chris, Sam and Keegan; great-grandchildren, Aaron, Alex and Alyssa; brothers, Gerald (Marion) and Richard (Mary). Visitation 6-8PM Fri, 12/3 at Miller Funeral Home, 6210 HWY 65 NE, Fridley. Service 11AM Sat, 12/4 at St. Philips Lutheran Church, 6180 HWY 65 NE, Fridley with a visitation one hour prior to service. Interment Sunset Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the VVA 470 Honor Guard.
