"Everybodya�(TM)s Mother" , Age 88, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2010 with her family at her side. Dorothy was born on May 15, 1921 in Minneapolis, daughter of Starling and Hattie Reynolds. She married her valentine Ernie Freyberger on February 14, 1942. They resided in Columbia Heights and Mounds View. She dedicated her life to raising 7 children, 15 grandchildren and 12 great grand children. She had a love for music as a child that continued throughout her life. She brightened the world with her dynamic personality, raspy voice and "love of life" attitude. She traveled the United States singing and entertaining for the public. She spent time giving of herself to others by entertaining in nursing homes, fairs and night clubs. In her career she performed with a variety of entertainers, appeared on TV and recorded 2 albums. We were blessed to have her as our mother and we will miss her dearly. Preceded in death by: husband (Ernie), daughter (Joan), great grandchildren (Kale and Kobe) parents, brothers and sisters, daughters-in-law (Judy and Barb). Dorothy is survived by 6 children, Larry of Marshalltown, IA., Jim (Jacki) of Rock Island, IL., John (Le Anne) of Dysart, IA., Sandy (Dick) of Hudson, IA., Kathy of Hudson, IA., and Terri (E.J.) of Hudson, IA. 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial 10 am Tuesday March 30 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 4030 Jackson St Ne, Columbia Heights. Visitation Monday from 4 to 8 pm in the Miller Funeral Home, 6210 Hwy 65 NE, Fridley. Interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
