Duane V. Pietrzak

Duane V. Pietrzak passed away on July 27, 2026 at 87 years old.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Stella Pietrzak; brothers-in-laws, Eugene Maznio and Edward Mrotek; nephew, Kevin Maznio; niece, Marie Lancello; and great-nephew, Timmy Lancello.

Duane will be deeply missed by his daughter, Sheryl (Wayne) Young; granddaughter, Amanda (Peter Marshman) Jacobs; great-grandsons, Aiden Jacobs and Emmett Marshman; sisters, Diana Mrotek and Joan Maznio; nephews, Joe Lancello, Dave (Cheryl) Lancello, Jim (Kristy) Lancello, Mark (Judy) Maznio, Paul Mrotek; niece, Deb Lancello; great-nieces and nephews, Torey (Amy) Lancello, Kailey (Joel Williams) Lancello, Josh Lancello, Gavin Lancello, Nate Lancello, Maranda Lancello, Katelyn Losee, Hailey Losee, Shelby (Cody) Hulstein, Arynn (Adam) Farrell; great-great-nieces and nephews, Kira Lancello, Harley Lancello, and Timmy Lancello, Myra Hulstein, Abel Farrell, Margot Farrell, Grace Maznio, Jack Maznio; along with extended family and friends.

Duane was an Altar Boy at All Saints Catholic Church. He went to elementary school at All Saints Catholic School, Sheridan Middle School and Vocational High School.

Duane worked for Sears Roebuck for 35 years and Clark Forklift for 12 years. He was known to be a great handyman and could fix almost anything.

Visitation at 10am, Mass of Christian Burial at 11am on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at Church of St. William, 6120 5th St NE, Fridley. Burial with military honors at Gethsemane Cemetery, New Hope.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made in Duane's name to Alzheimer's Association .
