Edwin Meaney

Edwin H. Meaney,age 81, of Fridley, passed away June 22, 2010, Preceded in death by parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister and 1 son. Ed (Edwin) served in the military for 26 yrs, then became a police officer in Mt. Iron, MN, then he moved down in the cities and became a used car salesman @ Victory Motors in North Minneapolis and last but not least a Security Officer. He was a wonderful companion for over 30 years, also loving dad, grandpa and friend; he was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. His hobbies included; story telling, traveling in the motorhome with his beloved, working on cars, fishing with his family and friends and towards the end content with just sitting in his chair in the living room with his beloved Donna. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Survived by beloved, Donna; children, Linda, Edwin, Leslie, Sherry, Edward, Ricky, Danny and Becky (Deno); 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Jean and many other relatives as well as friends. Funeral service Friday, July 9, 2010, 11AM at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 61 Mississippi Way NE, Fridley. Visitation one hour prior to service. Interment Ft.Snelling. Luncheon will be served at Redeemer Lutheran church in Fridley, details will be announced after the service.
