With heavy hearts but joyful spirits, we announce the passing of our beloved Elaine Elizabeth Harris (Brenner) on January 9, 2026, at the age of 95. Born on October 20, 1930, in Durand, Wisconsin, Elaine was a cherished matriarch who brought laughter, love, and warmth to everyone who knew her.
Elaine was a devoted homemaker who raised her family in Fridley, Minnesota, alongside her late husband, Larry Harris, with whom she shared 53 wonderful years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Clara Brenner; her sister, Kathleen DeShane; and her brother, Wayne Brenner.
Elaine’s legacy lives on through her loving sons: Michael (Julie), Timothy, and Thomas (Rochelle); her adored grandchildren, Nicholas, Rachel, Nicole, Kelsey, Austin, Trevor, and Dylan; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Landon, Olenyia, and Iris.
A true social butterfly, Elaine delighted in playing Bingo, tackling challenging crossword puzzles, and spending time with friends. She was a proud member of the Red Hat Society and the Mothers of Twins Club, and she found deep joy and community at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. With a heart full of love for Elvis and country music, Elaine’s joyful spirit and kind presence will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Funeral services celebrating Elaine’s life will be held on Friday, January 23, at 11:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 7700 Monroe Street, Spring Lake Park, Minnesota. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Elaine will be laid to rest at Morningside Memorial Gardens, 11800 University Avenue NW, Coon Rapids, Minnesota.
A big thank you to the wonderful staff at New Brighton Care Center who cared for Elaine to the end.
