Gary Paul Tschida

Gary Tschida, 76, passed peacefully July 14 surrounded by family.   He was so loved and now missed by wife, Barb, sons Ryan (Jess),  Adam. Grandchildren Jack, Vinnie, Sadie, and Jameson. Siblings George (Bev) Stevens, Diane Soderbeck.  In laws, Ralph Smith, Bill and Barb Wisher, Steve and Jean Wisher, Laura and Rich Moseng. Also several nieces and nephews.Preceded in death, parents George Tschida and Dorothy Kaehler, siblings Ginger Smith, Robert Stevens, and Glen Tschida.  Gary proudly served 2 years in United States Army including a tour in Korea.  He worked over 4 decades in the steel industry. His life was greatly enhanced by love of his family,  and enjoying the great outdoors.  He loved hunting, fishing, camping and even blowing snow and cutting the lawn.  However he particularly loved supporting and cheering for his son's and their life experiences.  He was the best cheerleader and greatest fan of of his precious grandchildren.  He missed celebrating his 50 year wedding anniversary by just weeks with his bride Barb.  He is known for his smile, his laugh, his kind heart and easy disposition.     

A  celebration of life service is planned for Sunday, August 17 at Miller Funeral Home in Fridley at 1pm with visitation one hour prior at 12 noon. Celebration continues at Moes Icehouse just down 65 heading north near Fogerty Arena.   9250 Lincoln Street NE.
