David and his second wife Elizabeth raised Geraldine and her siblings in the Twin Cities. Geraldine lived a life marked by devotion to family, faith, and community.
A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Christ Life Church and will be officiated by Pastors Jeremy Kochendofer and Tim Roehl. Family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service at the church.
Geraldine will be laid to rest privately at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, beside her husband.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Frank T. Chapman; her son, Frank D. Chapman; her parents, David and Elizabeth Evans; her sister, Dorothy Corazzo; and her brothers, Edward and Thomas Evans.
Geraldine and Frank raised three sons—Frank D., Robert, and Mark—in Blaine, Minnesota, where they were deeply involved in their community and supporting their children’s lives, especially through sports and the Boy Scouts. Family activities such as attending church, traveling, fishing, and spending time with friends and relatives, were always a priority. Geraldine also served for many years as an election judge in Blaine, demonstrating her commitment to civic duty.
Faith was central to Geraldine’s life. She and Frank were instrumental in establishing Christ Life Evangelical Church in Columbia Heights, where Frank served as a church elder and Geraldine was a valued member of the hospitality committee for many years. She was a dedicated participant in both church and neighborhood group Bible studies and cherished her church family.
Her legacy lives on through her sons Robert (Debra) and Mark, daughter-in-law Cherryl, her sisters Esther and Betty Ann, her grandchildren Sherry, Melissa, David, Jeff, Amber, and her great-grandchildren Autumn, Olivia, Victoria, and Sebastian. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Geraldine will be remembered for her strong but gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and the love she poured into every relationship. Her presence was a blessing, and her memory will continue to inspire all who knew her.
