Helen Claire Sworsky (Anderson)

Helen Sworsky passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the age of 78. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Milly Anderson, sister Sally, and brother Jack. Helen was born in Minneapolis on November 21, 1947, grew up in Northeast Minneapolis, and graduated with honors from Edison High School. She attended the University of Minnesota concentrating in Artistic Studies.

While at the U of M, Helen met and married her life partner and soulmate, Tony Sworsky. They resided in New Hope for a number of years and then built a home in Otsego where they have resided for the past 35 years. Helen was an accomplished seamstress and artist and enjoyed swimming, snorkeling, whitewater rafting, Como Park, carnival rides, haunted houses, corn mazes, cruises, the Guthrie Theater, her dogs, bird watching, breakfasts with her family, and amassing an extensive collection of ceramic frogs with Tony.

In addition to Tony, Helen is survived by their daughter Dawn (Cody) Berg; grandchildren Brandon (Amanda) Jacobsen, C. J. (Brianna) Jacobsen; Ashley Jacobsen (Matt Harris); great grandchildren Dominic, Lexi, Theo, Liv, Inga, and Bjorn.
