Ilmi Derke

Derke, Ilmi, age 84 formerly of Fridley, passed away Apr 1, 2021. Preceded in death by husband, Aloysius Derke; significant other, Ed Breitenfeldt; sister, Martha; and brother, Elmer.  Survived by children, Terry (Ivy), Tammy, Steve (Karen), Mark (Debbie), Daryl (Maria) and Scott (Ann);  sisters, Evelyn (Roy) Wehmas and Edna (Kenny) Kleiman; brother, Albert Barlund; 7 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. Ilmi was a longtime member of Messiah Lutheran Church where she taught bible study and sang in the choir. She enjoyed needlework, polka music and traveling. She will be deeply missed. Visitation will be held at 10 AM with Funeral service at 11AM on Wed Apr 7, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 2848 County Rd H2, Mounds View.
