Irene Mary Gleason

Irene Mary Gleason (nee Ziegler)

Irene died peacefully on February 11, 2024, at the age of 96. She was born in Brook Park, MN in 1927. Irene’s greatest joy was her family. As the matriarch, she was the model of commitment and faith.

She is preceded in death by her parents Otto and Mary Ziegler, her husband Jim, brothers Donald and James, sister Ann, great-granddaughter Madilyn Keith and Steve Jonak.

Irene is survived by her 6 children, 16 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Her 6 children are: Mary, James T. Gleason, III (Linda), Monica Keding (Dave), Marcia Zrust (Jim), Katherine Jonak, John Gleason, Sr. (Lisa).

Her 9 grandchildren are: James T. IV Gleason (Sara), Katherine Keith, Thomas Gleason (Jaimee), Kelly Gleason, Joe Keding (Idelle), Mike Keding (Sara), Jen Ohlhauser (Ryan), Erin Quinn (Casey), Jim Zrust (Molli), Joe Zrust, Jenelle Borgstrom (Josh), Steven Jonak (Bridget), Amy Jonak, MaryBeth Mueller (Pete), John Gleason, Jr. (Alison), Laura Gleason.

Irene’s 29 great-grandchildren are: James T. V Gleason, Amelia Gleason, Hadlee Gleason, Harrison Gleason, Connor Keding, Shana Keding, Kyla Keding, Matthew Keding, Abby Keding, Grace Keding, Madisyn Ohlhauser, Gavin Ohlhauser, Jacob Ohlhauser, Megan Ohlhauser, Thomas Quinn, Julie Quinn, Michael Quinn, Amelia Zrust, Zachary Borgstrom, Michael Borgstrom, Clementine Jonak, Theodore Jonak, David Mueller, James Mueller, Nickolas Mueller, Patrick Mueller, Lucy Gresback, Chloe Gleason, John Gleason, III.

Visitation at Church one hour before Mass.  Mass of Christian Burial 11AM Thursday at Church of St. Timothy, 707 89th Avenue NE, Blaine, Minnesota.  Interment will be at 2:30pm at the Brook Park Cemetery on Monument Road near Brook Park, Minnesota.
