James Gregory Wallerius

James G. “Jim” Wallerius, age 58, long time resident of Columbia Heights, MN, formerly of North Minneapolis, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. Jim was born to the late Donald J. and Elizabeth T. (Geitner) Wallerius on November 12, 1966.

He was a graduate of De La Salle High School in 1985 and the successful long time business owner of Enviro Care Pest Management Company. In his free time, Jim enjoyed fishing, camping, and the outdoors. Ice fishing on Lake of the Woods or a quick drive up to Mille Lacs Lake for a launch on a Saturday night was always in the plan.

Jim was a man whose kindness, warmth, and thoughtful nature left a lasting impact on all who had known him. He will be deeply missed and his acts of kindness, generosity, and understanding will continue to live on in all of us.

Jim is survived by brothers and sisters, Michael R. (Debra), Mark S. (Therese), Annette M. (John) Riley, Stephen J. (Nancy), Barbara A. (George) Titus, Susan C. Beall, Joseph W. (June), John R. (Kelli), Walter F., and Kristen A. (Thomas) Osypka; he also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his sister, Mary C. Grimes, brother-in-law, John H. Beall, and nephew, Benjamin J. Wallerius.

Family will greet friends from 4-6pm on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at Miller Funeral Home, 6210 Hwy 65 NE, Fridley, MN 55432. A time to share memories will begin at 6pm.

Jim will be laid to rest at Gethsemane Cemetery privately at a later date.
