True, Jeannine “Jean”, age 90 of Fridley entered heaven on December 10, 2021 where she was met by her Savior; parents, Olaf and Nellie Johnson; many other relatives and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Wayne; children, Steve (Beth) True, Susan (Jerry) Johnston, Teresa (Tom) Hanson; grandchildren, Sarah (Rob) McRae, Andrew True, Caroline True, Kristina (David) Cowen, Joshua (MaryDee) Klingseisen, James and Nate Hanson; great-grandchildren, Richie, Evan, and Sam McRae and Amelia Cowen.
Jean was born in Hettinger, North Dakota and spent her school years in various towns in the Dakotas and Minnesota. She graduated from Webster High School in 1949. She moved to Columbia Heights and attended St. Cloud State and airline stewardess school. She met Wayne while both were working at the National grocery store and they were married in 1956. She spent two years as an army wife and they then moved to Fridley in 1958 where she became a homemaker and raised her deeply loved family. She had many happy times camping with friends and traveling with family. She especially loved the family trips to Disney resorts with the children and grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 21 at 11AM with visitation one hour prior at Saint Matthews Lutheran Church, 4101 Washington St NE, Columbia Heights.
