Jeremy K. Burton

August 23, 1976 — October 19, 2025

Roseville

Jeremy “Boo” Burton went home to Jesus on October 19th, 2025, at age 49 surrounded by family at home.

Born to Kenneth L. and Carolyn N. Burton on August 23rd, 1976, at Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital in Oceanside, California. His father’s active-duty Naval career led to his family being stationed, in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and Naval Station Great Lakes in Waukegan, Illinois before returning to California. These experiences led to a lifetime love of the ocean and the Chicago Bears, Bulls and Cubs.

As a child, Jeremy loved to be active and outdoors, learning how to boogie board, surf and skateboard. He played baseball, basketball, competed on bowling leagues and was famous for building dangerous BMX bike jumps in front of his home. His best friend and brother, Terrance was his confidant and his “don’t tell mom” co-conspirator in all of his adventures.

Jeremy was raised in a Christian home and by middle school, had made his declaration of faith in Jesus Christ accepting the gift of salvation. His faith and belief in Christ were the foundation on which he built his life.

Jeremy went on to graduate from Tri-City Christian School in 1994 and earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Cal State Fullerton. After moving to Minnesota, he worked for Medtronic for 22 years in Customer Service, where he made many long-standing friendships and connections.

Jeremy married Heather Lutz on September 15th, 2012, and they made their home in Roseville, MN. Jeremy’s greatest joy in life was becoming a father to Isaiah and Kaleb, whom he has passed on his love for music, Jordans, joking around, impromptu dance parties and instilled his belief in Jesus.

Jeremy was endlessly inquisitive and enjoyed nothing more than obtaining your whole life story with one or twenty carefully crafted questions. He will be remembered for long conversations, debating topics ranging from sports to history, his generosity and his love for his family and friends.

His smile, laughter and presence in our lives will be forever missed. We rejoice that he is made whole and healthy in heaven now.

He is survived by his wife Heather; sons, Isaiah and Kaleb; his parents Kenneth and Carolyn Burton; his brother Terrance (Leah)Burton; mother-in-law, Sharon Lutz; sister-in-law Sarah (Jon, Ella, Ava) Oswald. As well as a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins and chosen family.

The family respectfully requests that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the GoFundMe campaign established to support his children’s future education and foreseeable needs. https://gofund.me/0faaaf2f3
