John Gregory Govoent, Jr. "Sonny," age 86, passed away on September 24, 2018.
John is survived by his wife, Dolores; daughter, Lynn (Ron) Larson; son, Greg (Eileen) Govoent; granddaughter, Kristina Larson; great-grandchildren, Alexis and Alyssa Bejarano Larson; stepmother, Lorraine Govoent; siblings: Rose Miller, Helen (Butch) Helm, Mary (Ron) Jones, Tom (Sue) Govoent, Susan Barnett; many nephews, nieces, grand nephews and nieces.
St. Thomas Academy alum. Korean War Veteran, USN. Former local chairman Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen. Member Fridley American Legion Post 303; Kraus-Hartig VFW Post 6587.
Memorial and Visitation 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 4th at Miller Funeral Home.
