Joseph William Amborn

Joseph W. Amborn, age 90 of Blaine, MN passed into glory on January 11, 2024. He was the 1st of 7 children born to Arthur and Ida Amborn.  He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Ida Amborn along with his sister Marlene Timm and brother Mike Amborn . He is survived by his  brother, Gerald Amborn, Robert Amborn, Wallace Amborn and sister Betty Sperr. He is also survived by his four children, William Amborn (Carolyn), Donna Erklouts-Ball (Gary), Debra Robeck (Greg), Diane Lincoln (Mark). 13 grand children, Kristin, Eric, Ashley, Kevin, Kyle, Jamie, Sarah, Kelly, Benjamin, Amanda, Megan, Joshua and Bethany, 8 great grand children and many nephews and nieces. He joined the Marine Corp after high school and when that ended he worked at the lumberyard as a supervisor. He did some drafting work and finally became a truck driver for the rest of his career. Things that were important to him in life were God and family.  He was very social and loved going on trips with the Golden Agers group from Church. He also enjoyed many lutefisk dinners over the years...you were lucky if you could avoid that...lol. He also loved going to his grandchildren's activities. These included going to the ball games ,musical events, birthday parties ,baptisms and choir concerts. Joseph will be greatly missed by his family and friends! He has left behind a wonderful legacy.   We send out a special Thank You to the wonderful people at Park River Estates Care Center who treated him with love and kindness during his time there.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 18th 2024 at Fourth Baptist Church, 900 Forestview Lane, Plymouth, Mn 55441, 763-417-8200. Visitation is at 10 am and the service at 11 am. Interment will be on Friday, January 19th 2024 at Lakeside Cemetery in Herman, Mn.
