Kathleen "Kathy" Louise Barness

Born in Rice Lake, Wisconsin on January 26, 1946 to Harold and Lillian Barness.

Resided in Coon Rapids, MN until she was called Home to her Lord on August 23, 2026.

Kathleen, age 80, passed away at Buffalo Hospital while surrounded by family on August 23, 2026.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents Harold & Lillian Barness, sisters Karen Templeton & Linda Butts, nieces Jennifer Gary & Pamela Moloczij. She is survived by nieces Amy (Erik) Haselius & Sara and Laura Templeton, nephews Paul Templeton & David (Brieana) Butts, and 14 great nieces and nephews: Megan Moe, Amanda Templeton, Kayla Templeton, Jessika Haselius, Zackary Haselius, Brianna Gary, Aleksa Haselius, Jasmine Moloczij, Allison Gary, Kaden Haselius, Mya Werbachowski, Lilly Moloczij, Kameron Haselius, & Olivia Butts, as well as her unborn great, great nephew and many, many other family and friends.

Kathy touched the lives of so many people, encouraged love and compassion in everyone she met, and left a legacy that will never be forgotten.

You will be missed more than you know. Rest in peace, Kathy.
