Kathryn Knutson

Kathryn L Knutson (Clark) age 78 of Spring Lake Park, MN passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday November 27, 2021 surrounded by family.

Kathy was born in Mason City, Iowa on May 3, 1943. She married  Maynard E. Knutson of Michigan, North Dakota  on July 1, 1967. They moved to Spring Lake Park, MN in 1971 and had 3 children. Kathy remained in the family home after Maynard ‘s death in 1985.  Kathy worked very hard to provide for her children. She worked full time at Target Corporation for nearly 30 years and part time at Kohls Department Store in Blaine for over 25 years making many dear friends along the way.

For Kathy her family was her world but her door was always open to everyone. She enjoyed cooking big meals for her family and friends and playing cards at home. Kathy also enjoyed going out to dinner which always included pulling tabs and maybe a meat raffle.  She enjoyed working at Kohls but loved shopping their sales even more. Kathy was beyond strong, an amazing women and will be incredibly missed by all.

Kathy  is survived by her three children, DeLaine(Jeff), Dawn (Kyle), Scott (Laura). Her five grandchildren Katlyn (Zach) Travis, Austin (Miranda) Derrick and Kati, her 4 great grandchildren, Weston, Avery, Rogan Pelarski, and Alexis Smith. Her fraternal twin sister Karen Garlock, her oldest sister Marilyn Cimijotti and her sister-in-law- Esther Estvold as well many nieces and nephews and several close friends.

Kathy is proceeded in death by her husband, Maynard Knutson, her parents Charles and Marie Clark, her sister Charlotte Clark, her brother and sister-in-law Richard and Alice Clark.

A visitation and remembrance will be held on Sunday December 5th from 2:00pm - 5:00pm at Miller Funeral home 6210 Hwy 65 NE Fridley, MN  with an opportunity to say a few words and share stories about Kathy at 4:00. All are welcome. A private family burial at Ft. Snelling National Cometary will be held at a later date. For those who choose to, In lieu of flowers,  monetary contributions can be given to the family to help cover her medical cost and final expenses.
