Laura Lindahl

Laura Sophia (Johnson) Lindahl went to be with the Lord on September 1, 2023, at the age of 81. She was born to George and Sophie (Perhaska) Johnson on November 3, 1941, in Ironwood, MI. She graduated in 1959 from Luther L. Wright High School. She married Floyd Lindahl on September 1, 1962. They had three children: Lisa, Marne, and LaKeesha.

Laura accepted Christ as her Savior in 1951 at the age of 10 at Lake Superior Bible Camp.

She worked for Ma Bell (Northwestern Bell) and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association in Minneapolis. When the first of the three daughters arrived, she became a stay at home mom. She taught Sunday School and sang special music at Lowry Avenue Baptist Church. She served in the nursery at Woodcrest Baptist Church. She volunteered for years at Unity Hospital at the information desk. Laura was involved in politics and served as an election judge. When the girls were in school, she worked for Kelly Temp Agency. She liked to read and crochet, making all of her children and grandchildren blankets.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Florence Johnson, Betty Oja, Vicki Rivera; brothers, Robert Johnson, John Johnson; brother-in-law, Ernie Lindahl; 4 unborn grandchildren; and 3 unborn great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Floyd; children, Lisa Lampland, Marne (Jon) Muhr, and LaKeesha (Tim) Furman; brothers, George (Bonnie) Johnson, Eugene (Mamie) Johnson; sisters-in-law, Lydia Johnson, Mary Jane Lindahl; brother-in-law, Juan Rivera; grandchildren, Kelsey (Michael) Fleegel, Keira (Matthew) Roggemann, Jeremiah "Jay" Yeats, Hollie Yeats, Kaylee (Israel) Youngs, Sophie Muhr, Julia Muhr; great grandchildren, Tristan, Ezra, Ethan, Emery, MaKenna, Bjorn, Connor and Jonah; and many nieces and nephews.

The Lindahl family would like to thank the staff of the New Brighton Care Center for their care these past few months.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 11AM with visitation one hour prior at Fourth Baptist Church, 900 Forestview Ln N, Plymouth, MN.
