Laura Lou Sandstrom

Laura Lou Sandstrom (Johnson), age 93 of Golden Valley, passed away on January 27, 2022.

Laura Lou was born in Belgrade, MN and her family moved to Wilmar soon after. The Johnson's were a large farm family and active at Wilmar Covenant Church.

Laura Lou attended North Park College where she met Bill Sandstrom. They married in 1951 and shared a life in ministry. They served in Chicago, Minneapolis, Sioux City, and Rockford and followed with serving retirement communities in Plantation and Golden Valley. Laura Lou loved being a Special Education aide for Dowling Elementary in Minneapolis.

Bill and Laura Lou moved to Covenant Village in Golden Valley in 2013. If you came to their home, Laura Lou's first question was - how about some coffee? They enjoyed hosting family and friends wherever they lived.

She is survived by her son, Peter; daughter, Kari; granddaughter, Brita; and brother, Bud.

A private memorial service will be held on April 9, 2022.  Memorials to Covenant Living Golden Valley Benevolence Fund or World Relief.
