Lorraine Louise Russ

Lorraine Louise Russ, 94, Arden Hills, MN, passed away on May 22, 2026.  She was born at home on October 26, 1931 to her parents Minnie and Richard Buntrock in the small town of Ottertail, MN.  She was the seventh child in a family of 6 boys and 6 girls. 

Lorraine had a seventh grade education and was needed at home to help the family with cooking and caring for her younger siblings.  She married Charles “Bill” Russ on November 4, 1950.  They moved to Minneapolis in 1951 and welcomed their daughter, Charlene, in August.  They moved to Fridley soon after and had a son, Tim, in 1955.  In 1963, they moved into Columbia Heights where Lorriane became an avid gardener, seamstress, knitter, and baker, sharing her creations with others.

Lorraine is survived by her son Tim (Trish) Russ; four grandchildren, Alita (Trevor) Russ Major, Mark (Roclyn) Bradshaw, Corinne (Steven) Dauksavage, and Kyle (Katie) Bradshaw; and her youngest sister, Phyllis DeBoer.  Lorraine was blessed with 8 great grandchildren, Lilah, Iris, Hallie, Elijah, William, Lydia, Julia, and Ezra.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; daughter, Charlene; son-in-law, Jack Bradshaw; parents, Minnie and Richard Buntrock; brothers, Erhard, Alvin, Allen, Edmund, Leonard, and Lorenz; and sisters, Malinda, Rosella, Adele, and Carol.

Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2026 at Miller Funeral Home. Visitation begins at 10. Luncheon will follow.
