Marian Josephine Carlson, a dedicated wife, mother, and former administrative assistant at Marquette Bank, has passed away. Born on April 22, 1940, Marian lived a life full of love, laughter, and cherished moments with family and friends until her peaceful departure on February 29, 2024.

Marian's warm personality and spunky nature endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She had a special knack for bringing people together and creating unforgettable memories. Marian's love for travel was evident as she embarked on road trips, plane rides, motorcycle journeys, and motor home adventures across the country with her beloved husband Jerrold Carlson. Together they explored Hawaii and Mexico, creating lasting bonds through their shared experiences.

A graduate of Orr High School in 1958 where she excelled academically and received academic accolades. Marian's proudest accomplishment was establishing roots in Aitkin and building a home that she adored. Her passion for cooking brought joy to many as she prepared hearty meals for her loved ones. Marian's fondness for music shone through as she played the accordion during family gatherings filled with laughter and polka tunes.

Marian leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will be carried on by her surviving family: her loving husband Jerrold Carlson; sons Gregory Carlson (Robin), Arlee Carlson (Ellen), and Leonard Carlson (Sheryl); grandchildren Emily Arseneau (Michael), Andrea Zierden (Adam), Brittani Gammell (Kyle), Lucas Carlson, Cody Carlson, Bailey Opdahl (Nate); and three great-grandchildren Kennedy, Chloe, and Oliver.
