Mary Linnell

Mary Linnell, 94, formerly of Fridley, MN, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Copperfield Hill Senior Living in Robbinsdale, MN. She was born in Centuria, WI to Anthony and Freida Savage on February 20th, 1929. Mary graduated from Taylors Falls School. She married her husband Lyle “Doug” Linnell on September, 17th, 1949 and she followed him as he served in the U.S. Army at various bases in the United States. Afterwards they settled in the Twin Cities. In addition to raising two children she worked at various places as a secretary including Univar USA, Inc. from 1978 until her retirement in 1990. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents; brother Charles Savage; husband of 72 years Lyle Linnell; and children Jeffrey Linnell and Jill Linnell. Mary is survived by her sister Barbara (Ronald) Lind of Wyoming, MN and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held at Miller Funeral Home and Crematory, 6210 Highway 65 NE, Fridley, MN 55432 on Saturday, September 30th, at 11:00am with visitation one hour prior to memorial service.

Interment on a later date at Franconia Cemetery in Shafer, MN. Services will be Livestreamed below.

In lieu of flowers memorials should be directed to Animal Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
