Mary Sheridan

Mary Sheridan, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and cherished member of her community, passed away on October 3, 2025, at the age of 89 in Spring Lake Park. Born on November 26, 1935, in Richfield, she was the daughter of Edward and Alice Freundschuh, who instilled in her the values of hard work, compassion, and devotion.

Mary's life was one of enduring love and dedication. She married Phillip Sheridan, and together they navigated life’s challenges and joys, building a family that would grow to reflect their deep commitment to one another. Mary was a nurturing mother to her children, and her legacy lives on through them. She is survived by her sons, Pat Sheridan and his wife Marie, Ed Sheridan and his wife Lynn, Joe Sheridan and his wife Melissa, and her daughter, Maureen Sheridan. In addition, she is remembered fondly by her son-in-law, Larry Teafatiller, her daughter-in-law, Kelly Sheridan, and many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, her husband Phillip, and her daughter Kathy "Sheridan" Teafatiller and son Mike Sheridan. 

Throughout her life, Mary touched many hearts with her warmth, kindness, and generous spirit. She loved to dance, play cards, visit with friends and family and was known for her enduring love of chocolate.  She was known as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many, who will remember her as a person who enriched their lives with laughter and love.

Mary Sheridan's presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her.

A celebration of life will be held at St Williams Catholic Church in Fridley on October 21st with a memorial service at 11am (visitation one hour prior at 10am) and a luncheon following the service.
