Mary Thoreson

Mary Kay Thoreson age 71, passed away unexpectedly March 17, 2018, with family at her side, from complications of breast cancer. She fought against it bravely in 2002 and again in 2013. She is now at peace and free from pain in Heaven. Mary was born April 24, 1946 in Minneapolis to Beatrice (Wood) Olofson and Clarence Sime. She worked for Ramsey County Human Services for many years as a Case Aide. Mary enjoyed trips to the casino and spoiling her grandchildren. Survived by sons, Dennis (Sonia) of Andover, Troy (Maria) of Oakdale, Tim (Lisa) of Rogers, Bill (Jennifer) of East Bethel; grandchildren, Ciarah, Karissa, Dennis; sisters, Lynn Kettler of St. Paul, Helen (Mike) Haluptzok of Ham Lake; brother, Carl Sime of Blaine. The family would like to thank Minnesota Oncology for their kind care and help during this final fight and to Theresa McConnon (dear friend) for graciously providing song for the service.
