Merle Elling

Merle was born in Minneapolis, MN, the seventh child of ten. He retired from Western Electric after 32 years. His Christian faith was important to him. He was a gentleman and treated people well (most of the time!). 

Merle will be deeply missed by his wife, Gale’ son, Steven; daughter, Denise; daughter-in-law, Debora; grandchildren, Corey and Elizabeth (Michael) Howard; great-granddaughters, Evelyn and Brynn. He is further survived by many wonderful relatives and beloved friends. As the last surviving member of his family, he was preceded in death by all nine of his siblings.

Service is tentatively scheduled for February 2026 and will be announced at a later date.
