Merle Gene Biggs

Merle Gene Biggs, of Lino Lakes, a beloved family man and devoted salesman, passed away on August 18, 2025, in Bloomington, Minnesota, at the age of 87. Born on September 5, 1937, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Merle distinguished himself throughout his life with his unwavering dedication to family and his commitment to his career.

Having graduated from Washington high school in 1955, Merle embarked on a successful career as a salesman for Coca Cola, where he worked for 31 years. With his hard working approach and unique sense of humor, Merle was able to connect with others in a natural way, earning him the respect of his colleagues and clients alike.

Above all, Merle was a loving father, deeply committed to his family. He is remembered fondly by his wife, Carol Biggs, who shared a rich and fulfilling 68 year marriage with him, filled with travels, including their cherished trips all over the United States.

Merle was preceded in death by his parents, Doyle and Anne Biggs, brother Doyle and his granddaughter Carly Magnuson. He is survived by his wife Carol, children Pamela (Bob) Magnuson, Cathy Langhoff, Merle (Rachel) Biggs, and Jeanne (Conrad) Whitehead and twelve grandchildren, Lacey, Jesse, Chris, Laura, Carrie, Jamie, Sara, Chelsae, Eli, Katie, Maren, and Shelby. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Wednesday, September 24, at St. Odilia's Catholic Church located at 3495 Victoria St N, Shoreview, MN 55126 Shoreview, MN, with the visitation starting at 10:00am and the service starting at 11:00am. We invite friends and family to come and share memories. Merle will be laid to rest in his niche at St. Odilia's.
