Raymond L. Hegna

Raymond Leroy Hegna, age86 of Fridley, MN, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026. Ray was born to Emil and Katherine (Egler) on July 28, 1939. He graduated from Chetek high school, class of 1958. He served in the Army National Guard. After a long career, he retired from FMC. Ray was a lifelong member of Disabled American Veterans; Anoka chapter 39. He was also a lifelong member of Fridley American Legion MN #303. Ray also served as a Sargent at Arms Color & Honor Guard. Ray is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy; children, Marilyn (Daryl) Carlson, Sandra (Steve) Zajec, Robert and Gary; grandchildren, Jeremy (Tammy), MacKenzie, Kayla (Kevin), Casey (Jenna); great-grandchildren, Jax, Sage, Bode, Reid, Tauren, Izak, Kai, Koa, Keane Dane, Rhett; brothers, Roger, Duane (Terri); sisters, Carol, and Nancy (David). Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Katherine (Egler); sister, Dawn; brothers-in-law, Ray and Dale. A private service will be held in the near future.
