Richard Swords

Swords, Richard O. Born 7/27/27 in Springfield, OH, Dick passed away peacefully on 6/26/13 at the age of 85. He was preceded in death by his son, David; his parents, and a brother, John. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 60 years, Betty; a sister, Ann Zuliani of CA; his children, Richard Jr. (Vicki), Mike (Mary), Bob, Kathryn (Ted), Steve (Karen); grandchildren, Nicole (April), Matt, Jaclyn (Matt), Richard (Jessica), Rebecca, Tim, Christi, Paul, Jack, Stephen and Thomas; great-grandchildren, Ben, Alex, Isla and Jeren. Dick was an avid golfer, a history buff and a fan of all Minnesota sports teams. He loved to read, and was a devoted family man. He worked in retail management for 45 years. Visitation Sunday, June 30, 6-8 PM, with rosary 7 PM at Miller Funeral Home, 6210 NE Hwy 65, Fridley. Funeral Mass Monday, 11 AM, with visitation 1/2 hour prior at St. Charles Borromeo, Stinson & St. Anthony Blvds., St. Anthony. Private interment at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, New Brighton. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the American Diabetes Association or Pro-life Across America.
