Robert Dale Himle, Jr. 1959-2026

Robert Dale Himle, age 67, of Coon Rapids, Minnesota, died on October 21, 2026.

Robert was born in Würzburg, Germany, to Sandra and Robert Himle, Sr.  He grew up in cities around Minnesota and the family settled in Coon Rapids, Minnesota, where he graduated from Coon Rapids Senior High in 1977.  After graduating with a B.A., Concordia College, in 1980, he pursued a lifelong study of law.  He received his J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law in 1984, accomplished an LL.M at the University of Denver, and an M.A. at Norwich University.  He used his knowledge of the law to help those in need for almost 40 years, running his own law office for many years.

Robert was preceded in death by mother, Sandra Himle, and is survived by his dad, Robert Himle Sr.; and siblings, Michelle Meyers (husband Steve, and family Hannah, DJ, Nicole, Adam, and Helina), Ben Himle (wife Sheri, son Raymond), Amanda Auch (husband Robert and family, Romy & Charlotte.

Robert was a loving son, fully present for his parents in their later years, especially enjoying watching Timberwolves basketball games with Sandra.  He was a generous brother and uncle.  Always supportive of his younger siblings and their families, he never missed an event and was always there to witness our milestones.  He loved reading books and poking around the Twin Cities.  His rescued whippet dogs, Q and Tribute, were a joy to him.  A thoughtful and considerate person dedicated to his principles, he put his intelligence and compassion to use serving people in the practice of family law.

He will be missed by his family who were blessed to care for him the last several years.
