Kvitrud, Robert T.
Age 91 of Arden Hills, formerly of New Brighton and south Minneapolis, passed away on April 30, 2015. He was born in St. Paul to Robert & Carrie Kvitrud on Nov 1, 1923. Preceded in death by wife of 53 years Elaine Martha Anna (Bemis) Kvitrud, sister Muriel Ondov, and infant twin brothers Lawrence and Lowell Kvitrud. Survived by children, John (Jan) Kvitrud, Jim (Becki) Kvitrud, Dave (Wanda) Kvitrud, Beth (John) Gehrke; grandchildren Mary (Jimmy) Gosse, Martha (Tim) Douglas, Marlene (Chris) Brawner, Breanna Kvitrud, Dan Kvitrud, Kathleen Gehrke, Pamela (Michael) Jeffcoat; and great grandchildren, Aaron Grosse, Eva Grosse, Christopher Douglas, Makenzie Douglas, Violet Jeffcoat; also survived by brother Roger (Phyllis) Kvitrud, brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews, other family and friends. He was a WWII US Army Corporal and received a bronze star and other recognitions from his actions in the Philippine Islands. He worked at Onan (now Cummins) for 41 years. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred. Internment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Funeral Service Monday, May 3, 2015 11 AM at Messiah Lutheran Church 2848 County Road H2, Mounds View, MN with visitation 1 hour before. Also Sunday, 3-5 PM at Miller Funeral Home (763-571-1300) Hwy 65 at Rice Creek Road in Fridley.
