Robert C Vang

Robert Carl Vang, age 75, of New Brighton, formerly of Deerwood passed away on March 18th, 2026. He was born in Crosby, attended C-I High School, Brainerd Junior College and Bemidji State University graduating with a degree in Industrial Technology. He took undergraduate courses at the University of Minnesota in accounting in addition to Dale Carnegie and St. Paul College.

He was employed by Ford Motor Company as an accountant/inventory analyst with the Parts and Service Distribution Center for 17 years and then with the Minnesota Department of Transportation as a Management Analyst Supervisor and Facility Manager for 27 years.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Meg, parents, Elizabeth and Olaf, sister Evelyn, brother in law Bill and grandson Angelo.

Bob is survived by his son Willie, daughter in law Kelly and granddaughter Mary. He is also survived by three brothers and their spouses, Oliver & Pat, Roger & Cheryl and David & Lisa. He is also survived by his significant other, Pat Baron of Cottage Grove.

Bob was a devout Catholic as a member of St. William's parish in Fridley and a proud member of the MSRA, owning a 1937 Chevy and a 1935 Ford Coupe.

Bob always had a smile on his face and gratitude in his heart. He will be greatly missed by all.
