Rodney Dale Schmidt

Rodney Dale Schmidt, Rod to his friends and family, was born on November 26, 1959, and passed away on June 5, 2025, in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. 

Rod had a deep passion for the outdoors, with hunting and fishing standing out as activities he cherished.

He is survived by his wife, Karen, and their three sons: Perry (Laurel), Paul (Kelsey), and Joe. Rod was a proud grandfather to two wonderful grandchildren, Wade and Brynn, who he loved dearly.  He is also survived by his loving parents, Don and Jean Schmidt, and his sisters, Brenda and Stacy (Tim Dean), who will forever hold cherished memories of their time together.

Rod was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Todd Schmidt, whose memory remains alive in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life honoring Rod is planned for Thursday, June 12, from 1-4p,  at Pheasant Ridge in Ogilvie, Minnesota, where family and friends will gather to remember and celebrate his life.
