Roger A. Johnson, 81 of Fridley, MN met his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 4, 2026 after a short battle with cancer.
Roger was born and raised on a farm near Boyceville, WI. At age 11, he accepted the Lord as his Savior. He graduated from UW River Falls with a business degree. Roger met Jean Custer of Chippewa Falls, WI, and they married on June 8, 1968. He was drafted into the US Army and served two years. Part of that time he was stationed in Germany with Jean. After his honorable discharge, he spent his entire working career as a corporate accountant.
Roger loved God with all his heart. Roger loved his wife, his family, music, and his country.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Margaret (Fisher) Johnson; brother and sister-in-law, John and Maxine Norton, and their children, James, Daniel and April; daughter-in-law, Manya; many aunts, uncles, and cousins from the Johnson and Fisher families.
Roger will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Jean; children, Becky Johnson, Stephanie (Ed) Rappe, Pam Johnson and Steven Johnson; grandson, Oliver Twite.
Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, March 13, 2026 at Woodcrest Baptist Church, 6875 University Ave NE, Fridley. Visitation will begin at 10am and service at 11am. Burial will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
The service will be livestreamed on the church's YouTube Channel at Woodcrest Baptist Church
In lieu of flowers, memorial funds will be given to John and Joyce Raehl and family, missionaries to Brazil.
