Scott Charles Robbins, 78, of Fridley, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at home on June 19, 2026. Born on January 21, 1948, in Oakland, California, he was the son of Charles and Miriam Robbins (Toll).

Scott is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 57 years, Elizabeth (Vlock; aka Betty or Liz)), his 2 daughters, Jean Robbins of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Andrea Robbins of Longmont, Colorado, and his brother Mark Robbins (sister-in-law Laurie) of Jamestown, North Dakota, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Scott graduated from the University of Minnesota with degrees in chemical engineering and computer science. After jobs with the U of M Agricultural Extension Service (MAPS), Tri-Logic, EXI, and Control Data, he finished his career with Guidant Corp and Boston Scientific.

The family will not be holding a church or memorial service at this time. In remembrance of Scott, his family asks you to consider participating in one of his many interests and making a toast to your favorite memory of him. Some of his favorite memories include: 

- racing in his 1963 F-class Starfire at the Twin Cities Drag Strip; 

- spending weekends at Balsam Lake fishing for walleyes or driving Betty to farm auctions; 

- meeting friends at the Beer Garden at the Minnesota State Fair; 

- listening to Doo-Wop, early Rock-N-Roll or Phantom of the Opera; 

- building an H-O gauge train track in the basement; 

- collecting stamps and coins; 

- watching b-reel monster and sci-fi movies; 

- traveling to Florida, Hawaii and Colorado; 

- eating a good burger or nachos; - drinking an ice-cold Diet Coke; 

- watching late night re-runs of Perry Mason 

- watering and talking to his tomato plants; 

- or simply enjoying a glass of Scotch.
