Sharon Marie Mullis (nee Gabrelcik)
Sharon Marie Mullis (Gabrelcik), age 64, of New Brighton, (formerly Fridley), passed away peacefully at the New Brighton Care Center on August 14, 2023. She is survived by her siblings: David (Lisa), Diane, Steve, Lisa (Kurt), and Lori (Steve); her nieces and nephews: Peter (Michelle), Andrew (Samantha), Jacob (Emily), Alanna (Dan), Kirsten (Tom), and Jina (Michael) and great nieces and nephews: Carter, Sloane, Max, Elliana, Henry, Noah, Hazel, Everly, and Harvey; and ex-husband John Mullis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Jean Gabrelcik of Fridley, and great niece Addison Steeves of Maine.
Sharon took pride in her work as a CNA for 25 years prior to a life-threatening brain injury as a result of a bicycle accident. Sharon continued to volunteer at the nursing home where she worked following her recovery. Sharon had a gift for caring for the elderly, and she continued to care for her friends in the nursing home where she lived before she passed away. Sharon was an avid reader, a huge Minnesota Twins fan, and she loved animals and music.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 9 at 11:00 am with visitation beginning at 10 am, at the Miller Funeral Home, 6210 Highway 65 NE, Fridley, MN 55432. A light lunch will be provided following the memorial service.
