On Saturday, July 17th, 2021, Steven Eyler, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend passed away at the age of 59.
Steve was born on February 15th, 1962 in Bloomington, MN to Walter and Inge (Lieneweber) Eyler. He received his Construction Electrician diploma from Anoka Technical College in 1981 and was very successful in his career as an electrician for 39 years before retiring in February of 2020. On September 16th, 2000, he married Sandy Nagle and together they raised his two daughters, Brittany and Jessica, as well as his stepchildren, Nicole and Josh.
Steve had an incredible love of the outdoors. He spent countless hours hunting and fishing and imparted his knowledge of both to all who enjoyed his company. More often than not he would be the first one on the lake in the morning to guarantee the best catch of walleye, and the most patient man to ever sit in a tree for hours on end waiting for, and conquering, the biggest buck of the season. He loved to travel and enjoyed discovering new destinations with Sandy (frequently the Carribbean!) and meeting new people on their endeavors. He was known for his quick wit, boisterous personality, infectious laugh, smooth dance moves and love for his family.
Steve was preceded in death by his father, Walter. He is survived by his mother Inge, wife Sandy, his two daughters Brittany Kinney (Paul) and Jessica Soderman (Jordan) and stepchildren Nicole Bryan (Scott) and Josh Nagle, grandchildren Ellie, Ava, Max, Hunter, Caleb, Aiden and Conner, sisters Lynn and Diane, and a niece and several nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 30th, 2021 at Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 6210 Hwy 65 Northeast, Fridley, MN 55432 with visitation from 1-3 p.m. and a 3 p.m. service. A gathering and luncheon will follow at 4 p.m. at St. Philips Lutheran Church, 6180 Hwy 65 NE, Fridley, MN 55432.
