Susan Rose Thrun

Sue's strong faith was the center of her life. It is appropriate she was born on Immaculate Conception and died in the hour of Divine Mercy. She was a prayer warrior and joyful participant of the Morning Glories. She prayed with the group for 2,194 days consecutively, consistently lifting friends, family, and even strangers up in prayer. Not only that, but in the last year, she spent 43,095 minutes in prayer on the Hallow app. Sue was also an active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, where she spent many hours in adoration, at mass, gabbing in the gathering haul, and always enjoying a donut after mass.

Sue was a connector of people and befriended just about every person she met. She always offered a smile and asked "how are you today," looking for a genuine answer. She loved deeply and lived loudly. Her laugh could be recognized anywhere and heard just about everywhere. It was impossible to leave her presence without feeling seen, known, cared for, loved, and in a better mood.

Sue was preceded in death by her partner, Mike Spencer; parents, Donald and Faith Moselle; and brother, Happy Moselle.

Sue will be deeply missed by her daughters, Ashley Thrun and Faith (Noah) Pedersen; sister, Dawn (Tim) McGibbon; nieces and nephews.

Evening visitation will be held Monday, October 5, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Miller Funeral Home (6210 Hwy 65 NE, Fridley). Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (835 2nd Ave NW, New Brighton) with visitation one hour prior to mass. Interment at the church cemetery for immediate family and a luncheon in the church social hall will follow mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
